Citrus Park Christian ready for 11 man

Citrus Park Christian is a non denominational private school, grades K3 – 12th grade. The enrollment is under 450 students yielding favorable class sizes in increase education interaction with instructors. The school was founded in 1983 and has full accreditation status since 1990 and offers a well-rounded college-prep program.

CPC is a member of the FHSAA and fields teams for men’s/women’s Basketball, tennis, softball, volleyball and football. This year, the football program is expanding to its inaugural year of 11 man football making the transition for 7man football. It will compete on the 2a independent district this year with the plan on moving into a playoff district next year.

The program will be led by first year head coach Nathan Galan. Coach Galan is coming from Victory Christian where he served as the Assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. He attended college at Eastern Illinois Univ where he was a 2 year starter at defensive end and was a 2 time Ohio Valley Conference Champion (2006, 2009). He attended High school at Evangel Christian where he won State championships in 2005 and 2006.

The vision of the program is to generate well rounded student athletes with emphasis on their walk with Christ. Having a strong faith is a great foundation in generating student athletes. Every player will be held at a high academic standard not only to compete at the highest level possible but in developing as young men.
