CHECK IT: PETERS KID AT MITCHELL NEEDS A POSITION CHANGE AT THE NEXT LEVEL

Stephaun “Tank” Peters, Mitchell 2018 ATH

Watching the film of Mitchell senior ATH Stephaun Peters, initially didn’t quite know what position he would have the most success at the collegiate level. A few things are certain though: Size, confidence and anticipation. Have a player with those three attributes plus ability, there are schools with interest.

So, as this film runs…Peters does some good stuff at both corner and receiver. Note: He stands at least 6 foot 1. You need to think past the obvious. “He may outgrow corner. Could he play WR versus elite DBs? Could get big and play line backer.”

But then he starts to makes a series of plays starting at the 2:05 mark where he is playing from depth, reading the passer and reacting. SAFETY…That’s it! Not enough twitch to play CB. But, back him up and allow him to see the ball and watch the release of the ball, BIG TIME PLAYS get made. Falls right in line with the jump ball offensive plays he makes earlier in the film.
