Tyriq McCord Army All American jersey presentation

Jefferson High’s Tyriq McCord announced to the nation in front of live television during halftime of today’s Army All American game. The 6-3, 225 lb Defensive End announced “I’ll be taking my talents to South Beach” when asked between University of South Carolina, The U and Georgia. Rounding out his Top 5 were Southern California and the University of Florida.

McCord joins what is shaping to be a late contender for sleeper class of the recruiting season joining Anthony Chickillo from Alonso, Earl Moore from Hillsborough and Gray Crow from Countryside. In addition, Al Golden has landed Norland’s Duke Johnson and Columbus’ Deon Bush committed today as well.

McCord finished the season with 59 tackles, 11.5 sacks and also accounted for over 300 yards of offense from the TE position for the Dragons.
