Carrollwood Day School’s athletic facilities were already in the process of an upgrade in the form of a new gymnasium, and now they’ll be able to include outdoor sports in those facilities upgrades following a million dollars donation. The Patriots football team had gained an affection from the locals in their early years for playing under the fall afternoon sun on campus in their picturesque setting. Head Coach Lane Mcluaghlin and his squad defeated Admiral Farragut in their opener 22-18 last week to begin their season 1-0. Mclaughlin is in his eighth season as the only coach CDS has ever known, compiling a record of 49-26 in his time.
