In a key 8A-6 district game, Bloomingdale traveled across Hillsborough County to square off with Alonso. Bloomingdale entered at (3-1), Alonso (2-3) but Bloomingdale would depart one win richer in the district.
The game started off slow, both teams punting away the ball feeling each other out. Bloomingdale QB Isaiah McIntyre had a big night and it started with a series of scrambles and designed runs before his number was called on a QB sneak to put the Bulls up 6-0. A late quarter score would open up the first half floodgates for Bloomingdale.
Early in the second quarter, McIntyre would keep it and score for his second rushing TD of the night. This time on a 14 yard run to put the Bulls up 13-0. On the other sideline, the struggles would continue for Alonso. A fumble and Bloomingdale recovery retuned inside the Alonso 5 set up a Bulls FG (Bloom 16 Alonso 0). A Chris Oladokun interception led to a 7-yard Doug Sandberd TD run. Going into the Half, Bloomingdale led 23-0
The scoring did not slow for Bloomingdale. Ryan Volyles took a fake punt 40 yards for score on 4th down and 5 and Jordan Keijers snagged a McIntyre pass out the air for a 37-yard TD reception. Between those two Bulls scores, Alonso QB Chris Oladokun threw a strike to Tristyn Ferlita for a 65 yard TD (Bloom 37 Alonso 7). It looked like it was going to get ugly. But, Alonso started to wake up and put some drives together.
Joshua Elias sparked the home stands with a big 54-yard kickoff return, plus a personal foul placing the ball at the Bloomingdale 26 yard line. From there, the Ravens would find the promise land as Oladokun scampered in for a 17 yard TD run (Bloom 37 Alonso 14). Bloomingdale substituted QBs and it was nearly disastrous. A short gain, bad exchange and loss of yards forced McIntyre back into the game and the Raven defense finished off their best defense stance of night with a big sack.
Bloomingdale DE Tyler Jahn slowed the Raven attack with 2 back-to-back sacks midway in the 4th quarter. Oladokun would toss one more TD pass to Derrick Walker and Bloomingdale answered back with a Chris Wonsley 15 yard TD run. Final Bloomingdale 43 Alonso 21.
