BUCCANEERS TRADE SAFETY J.J. WILCOX, PLACE DL DAVONTE LAMBERT & DT STEVIE TU’IKOLOVATU ON IR

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has traded safety J.J. Wilcox to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bucs also placed defensive lineman DaVonte Lambert and defensive tackle Stevie Tu’ikolovatu on Injured Reserve.

The Buccaneers received a sixth-round draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft from the Steelers in exchange for Wilcox and a seventh-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Lambert (6-2, 282) played in 11 games for Tampa Bay last season, making five starts, totaling 14 tackles and one forced fumble.

Tu’ikolovatu (6-1, 320) was selected in the seventh round (223rd overall) by the Buccaneers in the 2017 NFL Draft.

The team also announced that long snapper Andrew DePaola and defensive end George Johnson have been released.
