Lakeland Christian running back Breylin Smith has gotten off to a solid start this season. In the Vikings’ two wins, Smith carried the ball 34 times for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also chipped in on defense in week one with a big interception return.
He is coming off of a junior year where he recorded 313 rushing yards, 222 receiving yards, 345 return yards, and 8 total touchdowns. He is a well-rounded back whose film shows a good blend of ability to run inside and outside.
He has quick feet and an explosive burst with solid top-end speed. His vision and agility allow him to make defenders miss and find extra yards.
The Vikings will need his production to stay consistent as they work toward another post-season run. He should easily break 1,000 yards this season if he continues playing the way he has early on.
