Brandon Robinson, “they better be ready for the ravens #ravennation”

Early this past June, Alonso 2014 ATH Brandon Robinson attended the BCP Summer E7 Training Camp to get in front of our evaluators and make a good impression. Did he ever! This is what we saw:

– Was deadly all day
– Showed tremendous foot speed and agility
– Blew past defenders in each competitive segment
– Soft, yet strong hands
– Proved to be tough to cover inside or outside

His performance propelled him to claiming the #3 ranked slot receiver in our coverage area. “My drive is to do the best anywhere my coaches need me on the field. My coaches always say ‘be coachable’ so I always keep that in mind.” says Robinson.

The Ravens are 11-9 in the last two seasons, just missing the playoffs in both 2011 and 2012. It is coming together and Robinson is positive good thing are in the future for Raven Nation, “Stay on track of our goal of a state title and becoming more of a solid unit to accomplish our goal.”

The triangle of Steinbrenner, Sickles and Gaither are neighborhood rivals for the Ravens. But Plant is likely the team the Ravens need to defeat (along with others) to claim the district title. Robinson feels like the Ravens control their own destiny and it won’t come down to Plant or neighborhood rivals. “When it comes down to it, I wouldn’t say there is a particular team in our way. Our games last year came down to a grind and we just didn’t hang on. But, this year it’s a new story!”

As 30 teams will head to Fishhawk this weekend for the BHSN/BCP 9 Route 7 on 7 Tournament, Alonso is a fixture in this event. Expected to perform well and put on a show, they are not coming for practice, but for hardware. “I’m looking forward to another great tournament like last year. We came so close in the end, but didn’t finish. This time around they better be ready for the Ravens…Raven Nation!”

IN HIS OWN WORDS
“I’m focusing more on school, because you simply just have to have grades to play college football. I also work hard on the field getting my routes more crisp and better hands.”
