Miami and USF continued their hot recruiting streak, adding a trio of athletes to the Class of 2012.
USF added Plant City receiver LaMarlin Wiggins (6-3/180) to its growing class.
The ‘Canes reached into North Florida for coveted linebacker Reggie Northrup (6-1/225) of Jacksonville 1st Coast and to Tallahassee for rangy athlete Brandon Holifield (6-6/216), who projects to become a tight end for Miami. Holifield’s coach at Godby is Ronnie Cottrell, who was recruiting coordinator at Florida State during the Seminoles’ long run of success and he is the third Godby athlete to commit to a Division 1 program joining QB/ATH Dennis Andrews (Georgia Tech) and TE Laith Harlow (Oklahoma).
