Pasco County, FL – The 11 win Mitchell Mustangs ran off 11 straight wins before falling to the eventual class 7A state runner-up (Edgewater). During this run, Mitchell allowed 120 total points to opponents. That’s an average of just 10 points per game. In their first 10 games of the season, no team scored more than 14 versus the mustangs.

A big part of the defensive success was the play of the defensive line starting with 2022 DT Adrian Divcic. During Adrian’s junior campaign, he posted the following numbers:
Solo Tackles – 17
Total Tackles – 32
Sacks – 2.0
Interceptions – 1
Caused Fumbles – 1

He likely played his best ball during the biggest game of the season: 12/04 Loss (21-28) to Edgewater posting 5 solo tackles, 11 total tackles and 1 sack. He’s a big body lineman standing 6-3/240 pounds who is very explosive at the point of attack. We love the way he can two gap offensive linemen and disengage and find the football.
