The Breakdown:
It’s Homecoming in Seminole Heights and it features what has traditionally been one of the marquee match-ups in the Bay Area. Last season, the Terriers used the strength of Dwayne Lawson’s 350 yards rushing/passing and four touchdowns to pullout the victory over the Dragons. This season–the landscape is decidedly different. Hillsborough QB Lawrence Dawsey Jr. and RB Duran Bell Jr. both left the Chamberlain game with injuries. Dragons QB Tyrese Spain’s four touchdowns paced the J-Boys in their first win of the season over Spoto. Both teams rushed for over 200 yards in the contest last season, which could see the same production–or the attempt to recreate said production as both squads want to establish ground supremacy to take the pressure off the arms of their signal-callers. Zachary Carter’s two sacks last week against the Chiefs helped HHS’ cause immensely, and the demand for at least two this week is as high as the clouds in the sky.

Jefferson wins IF:
Tyrese Spain gets going early/putting up points for the Dragons–force the Terriers to play catch-up on offense.

Hillsborough wins IF:
Dawsey Jr. and Bell Jr. can contribute in some form or fashion–plus the defense forces a minimum of two turnovers.
