HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY RECRUITING

Backup DT? Really?

Players get noticed all the time. One way or another. But it happens. Sometimes players are better than they think and make plays that can get them recruited in a big way.

Reggie Butler is that type of player for King High School in Tampa. You may say “Who?” That response would be a legitimate response because Reggie Butler was not a consistent starter for the Lions.

How good is he? Hard to tell without watching full game footage and seeing his ever snap. What is easy to observe, POTENTIAL. In the video link below, Butler explodes on a few snaps, makes a few tackles in the backfield and disrupts several plays.

Measurements: 6-3/270. He is an ultra-aggressive tackle who shows the ability to blast off the ball. Don’t get too excited King fans, there has to be a reason why this talented player was not a starter. So, it’s there, but for King to be better than 6-4 in 2012, Butler has to BE THERE on a more consistent basis. SEE BUTLER WORK HERE
