Armwood coach Sean Callahan knows his program is in a constant battle between perception and reality.
Since the FHSAA launched an investigation that uncovered five ineligible players from last year’s Class 6A state championship team, the Hawks football program has been shrouded in negativity. The school is awaiting the punishment phase of the process that likely will strip Armwood of its championship title and negate their 15 victories from last season.
Callahan’s heard and read the negative comments and for the first time, he spoke to Bright House Sports Network about the investigation and defended his program and players.
