SWEET 16: 10/4/17
It’s been a crazy year so far. The weather has created unfavorable schedules, team playing two games in a week and paridy has developed making this football season super unpredictable. The new playoff point system format forced athletic directors and high school coaches to seek out improved competition to schedule. Better teams are playing better teams making the team rankings much more difficult.

Counties considered: Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee

5A-8A teams. We also added the current playoff points so viewers get some idea of the schedule each team has played.
SMALL CLASSES
1A-4A teams. We did not add the playoff points because many of the teams listed do not participate in the FHSAA playoffs.
