The wait is no more. Armwood 2013 ATH, Alvin Bailey has verbally committed to the University of Florida. Bailey becomes the third Tampa Bay verbal commit to the University of Florida. Vernon Hargreaves, Wharton 5 star defensive back and Jordan Sherit, Hillsborough 4 star defensive end previously committed to Florida earlier this summer.

Bailey chose the Gators over Central Florida and Notre Dame. He proclaimed the Knights were his favorite for a long time. However, Florida turnout to be the place for the potential stud slot receiver. Bailey visited all three schools this summer to get a good feel for each institution and gather as much information to make his decision.

Alvin will join ex-teammate, RB Matt Jones, DE Dante Fowler, OLB Jeremi Powell and Hunter Joyer who are true freshman at UF and played their high school football in Tampa Bay. If Alvin Bailey holds his commitment and signs with UF on National Signing Day, he will become the 5th Armwood High prospect to sign with the Gators.

The Gators have a bit of a weak spot at the wide receiver position and are hoping Alvin Bailey can assist in strengthening the position. His elusiveness, explosion and versatility allow the Gator offensive staff to explore more options in their playbook.
