AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WEEKLY FOOTBALL HONORS

UCF’s Milton, ECU’s Brown, USF’s Sanchez, Nadelman are weekly award winners

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for Week 12 of the college football season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
McKenzie Milton • So. • QB • UCF • Kapolei, Hawaii
Milton completed 16 of 23 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown before coming out of the game late in the third quarter of a 45-19 win against Temple, clinching at least a tie for first place in The American’s East Division. Milton engineered scoring drives on seven of 10 possessions.

Trevon Brown • Jr. • WR • ECU • Wilmington, N.C.
Brown set ECU’s and The American’s single-game record for receiving yards as he had nine catches for 270 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-20 win against Cincinnati. Brown matched his own conference record with a 95-yard touchdown catch to start the third quarter, one of five receptions of at least 20 yards on the day. His 270-yard effort ranks second among NCAA FBS players this season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Auggie Sanchez • Sr. • LB • USF • St. Petersburg, Fla.
Sanchez matched his career high with 14 tackles, including a sack and 3.0 tackles for loss, to lead USF to a 27-20 win against Tulsa. Sanchez, who moved into third place on The American’s career tackles chart, finished the game with a USF career-record 378 tackles.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Emilio Nadelman • Sr. • K • USF • Miami, Fla.
Nadelman scored nine points, going 2-for-2 on field goals with three PATs, in USF’s 27-20 win against Tulsa. Both of Nadelman’s field goals came in the second half as he connected from 41 and 48 yards and set USF’s single-season record with his 19th and 20th field goals of the season.

HONOR ROLL
Shaquem Griffin • Sr. • LB • UCF • St. Petersburg, Fla.
Had three tackles, a forced fumble, a 22-yard interception return, a pass breakup and a tackle for loss in a 45-19 win at Temple.

Darrell Henderson • So. • RB • Memphis • Batesville, Miss.
Had 278 all-purpose yards in a 66-45 win against SMU. Rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns and had 116 yards on four kickoff returns.

Anthony Miller • Sr. • WR • Memphis • Memphis, Tenn.
Had eight receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in a 66-45 win against SMU setting Memphis’ career receptions record (217).

Terren Encalade • Jr. • WR • Tulane • East Pointe à la Hache, La.
Had eight receptions for 186 yards and a touchdown in a 20-17 win against Houston.

D’Angelo Brewer • Sr. • RB • Tulsa • Tulsa, Okla.
Rushed for 163 yards on 33 carries in a 27-20 loss at No. 23/20 USF, setting The American’s career rushing record (3,662 yards).
