Agholor finishes 6th in Mr. Football voting

On Friday, Johnson, a University of Miami commitment, earned a place among the state’s all-time best high school football players.

Johnson was named this season’s Mr. Florida Football award winner, given annually by the Florida Diary Farmers Association to the state’s top overall football player. Some notable past winners of the award include Tim Tebow, Anquan Boldin, Travis Henry and Daunte Culpepper.~ Miami Herald

Nelson Agholor, Berkeley Prep, 2012 RB, was not far behind in the voting.  He ended 6th on the list behind 6A Nathan Peterman Bertram Trail QB.  This season, Agholor rushed for a minimum 2 Touchdowns 9 out of Berkeley’s 12 games this season. He was also held to under 100 yards only three times this season. Agholor finished the 2011 season with 1983 yards rushing on 212 attempts, 9.3 yards per carry, 152.5 yards per game and 28 TDs
