THE BOX

A perfect prospect: dependable and accountable

As the Big County Preps Full Prospect Forum approaches there are a number of things to think about. Possibly one of the most important isn’t necessarily how you perform on the field or off the field. It’s about how you perform as a person.

Dependable: able to be trusted to do or provide what is needed (dictionary.com)

Your teammates, brothers and coaches are your family. The biggest bond you all share between is trust. At the end of the day if you don’t trust the guy lining up beside you,  or the guy calling the plays you will ultimately be bound to fail. Each play, each practice, your teammates and coaches are depending on YOU to do YOUR job. If all 11 players do their job – every play should and will go as planned.

Accountability: an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility (dictionary.com)

Are you willing to step up and take some responsibility? Every player has the obligation to accept responsibility for himself.

The bottom line is do your job, follow through with your responsibilities, have a willingness to accept responsibility and you’re on your way to being the ‘perfect prospect’

Think of the Full Prospect Forum as a town hall meeting full of special guests designed to enhance ALL phases of the process from the Clearinghouse to Standardized Testing schedules and anything else you can possibly imagine (such as the realities vs. the myths of recruiting from insiders, career development for life beyond the gridiron, etc.) will be addressed through panel discussions and small-group Q&A sessions.

Big County Preps and Unsigned Preps Cordially invite all of you (parents and players) to come and actively participate in the informational development of your recruitment process and discussion about your athletic and academic future at the collegiate level for no cost whatsoever at Hillsborough High School April 30, 2012 (7:00p-9:30p).
