Let’s face it; Leto was not a very good team in 2011. They were a 0-10 team that only scored 114 points on the season, 1405 rush yards, 606 passing yards, combined 2011 total offensive yards. BUT, there was a bright spot and a very BRIGHT spot…I need to add. The 2013 RB, Andre Simpson showed some flashes of a BCS caliber player. On the season: 139 rush attempts for 799 yards, 5.75 yards per carry and 5 TDs. To a reader who is not familiar with the Tampa Bay area or a reader who follows recruiting very closely, the numbers don’t impress you. But, if you understand the uphill battle the Leto football program is facing, the demographics of the school and the stiff district the Falcons were squeezed in (Jefferson, Armwood and Hillsborough to name a few), the numbers may not seem so bad and the video will look even better.
