A Few Out of State Combine Notes

Dee Liner Muscle Shoals (AL) DL [6′ 4″ 255 lbs] Auburn commit

Dee Liner is a big body on the defensive line who displayed his plus quickness and strong hands all day long. Liner was recruited by a number for SEC schools, but appears to be a solid commit to Auburn.

Steven Mitchell II Bishop Alemany (CA) WR [5′ 11″ 170 lbs]

Mitchell was one of the most impressive wide receivers at the combine. He was not the biggest, but he was by far the most efficient route runner (that I saw) and displayed a good release. His loose hips were evident as he was very good coming in and out of breaks. Mitchell currently holds offers from Southern Methodist, UCLA and Washington. He has also drawn interest from Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington Sate, and if his combine is proof of anything, Mitchell can expect to attract many more BCS schools.

Marcell Ateman Wylie East (TX) WR [6′ 5″ 180 lbs]

Marcell Ateman has tremendous size and good vertical speed. His long arms not only allow him to extend over smaller receivers but also force defensive backs to give him room off the line as he is tough to jam. Ateman holds offers from Arizona, Baylor and Tennessee. He has also attracted interest from 15 other BCS schools.
