1963 The Playoff era began with only a 2A championship game.
1964 2A & 1A each have championships.
1965 thru 1967 The playoffs expand to include a 1B championship game.
1968 thru 1970 The state playoffs add a 1C championship.
1971 thru 1984 The playoffs have championships for 4A,3A,2A & 1A.
1985 thru 1993 The playoffs adds class 5A.
1994 thru 1998 The state adds class 6A but drops the class 1A championship game.
1999 thru 2004 the state holds championships in all classes 6A thru 1A.
2005 thru 2010 the state adds class 2B & 1B to the championship format.
2011 the state drops 1B & 2B and adds 7A & 8A.
