Gaither 2013 ATH Shug Oygunle visited Ball State this weekend and from his mouth, “The visit this weekend was wonderful. I had a great time with the coaching staff and the players. They were all cool and outgoing.”

Today, Gaither head football coach, Jason Stokes reported to BCP that Shug made a verbal commitment to Ball State. Because Oyegunle can do so much, where would he fit into their offensive scheme? In our evaluation, we project Shug as a slot receiver with the ability turn a short play into a big one.

From a source close to the Ball State football program, Oyegunle was a “Must have” prospect. The coaching staff worked extremely hard to convince Shug that Ball State was the place for him. He finished his senior season 4th on the team in rushing yards (227) and 3rd on the team in receiving yards (468).

Oyegunle is the second Gaither commit this season as DT, Ernest Suttles recently committed to Nebraska.
