Despite sitting out most of the 4th quarter, Sanders finished with 27 points and 9 boards. He was 13 of 17 from the field and 1 of 2 from the free throw line. He also added five steals to his stat sheet.
Senior Connor Moore joined Sanders in double figures with 10 points, while picking up 6 rebounds of his own. All total, 13 Panthers ended the night with either points or rebounds, including 7 points from senior guard Alex Mitura.
Plant jumped out to a 25 – 11 lead after one quarter and led 47 – 18 at halftime. Jefferson sophomores Vernon Jackson and Maurice Moore scored 10 points each for the Dragons.
Plant evened its record out at 1 and 1 and will play Newsome this Thursday night at home.
