In a text late last evening, Jesuit OLB/TE Vincent Jackson has confirmed he received an offer from the University of Miami. The peculiar twist to Jackson’s good news is that Offensive Line Coach Art Kehoe told Jackson they thought they (Miami’s Staff) had offered him months ago, but sometimes the wheels of communication can come flying off their axles.

“From what Coach Kehoe tells me, they thought they had offered me months ago, but the message was unclear, but I’m thrilled.” said Jackson. He also says that his weight is up to 235 pounds hitting the offseason weight training program hard to match that 6-2 frame of his as well. At the size, he is comparable to another recent Miami Commit Tyriq McCord from Jefferson. Jackson averaged 5 tackles per game and 13 yards per catch for the Tigers as a Sophomore this past season.
