LUTZ – Steinbrenner senior ATH Zack Jones confirmed to Big County Preps this evening that he will be signing his letter of intent to play Stetson on Wednesday, in a special ceremony for National Signing Day at the school.

“I’m signing Wed (with Stetson) for sure,” Jones told BCP via text message.

BCP reported last week that the Warriors’ multi-position star was receiving plenty of interest from the Hatters and planned to commit in the near future, but wanted to make sure all of his options were sorted out.

Jones had 709 all-purpose yards for the Warriors this year, including a school record 99 yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Chamberlain in November.

He will be Steinbrenner’s third player to compete at the next level, joining 2010-11 graduates Alex Bombino (LeGrange) and Tobi Antigha (Presbyterian).
