Down south and not on IMG’s campus is Garrett Ware. Manatee’s 2016 TE with great hands and body control. As a few other Hurricane athletes have grasped the headlines during the 2014 season and 2015 off-season for good and bad reasons, Ware is just as promising. We really like how he attacks the football at it’s highest point and his ability to get off press coverage from a 3-point stance. He will need to bulk up and gain weight during the off-season and keep working on his overall foot quickness. His 6-4 frame will be able to support much more weight.
Coming back over the bridge and heading towards South Tampa is a swift footed RB attending Robinson High School. Anfernee Alston is just a sophomore but one to keep an eye on. We are expecting his work load to increase his junior season and really make the local media recognize his talent. He is slightly undersized. Yet, he makes up in skill and ability.
Many Many great high school, college and NFL players have worn the green uniforms and gold helmets of the Chamberlain Chiefs. Deedrick Daniels could be another really good athlete to that graduates from the same school. Blessed with sticky, good hands and crazy good body control, Daniels has some tools that could find him on either side of the ball as a college athlete. At 5-11, his home may be at slot receiver or defensive back, Doesn’t matter, he will be good at either.
