The season didn’t start the way the following teams wanted, but there are still 7 weeks left and 6-7 games to play for each team. Here are the teams we believe are the top 5 One Win teams in the area.

1) Hillsborough 1-3
Terriers started the season 0-2 with losses to Durant and Plant before defeating Gaither and losing to King last week. Allowing over 16 points per game.

Not use to seeing Hillsborough, Indian Rocks, Lake Gibson, Frostproof and Jefferson all 0-2. Out of the ordinary. But all are primed for a comeback. #hsfb #highschoolfootball. Photo credit: Bob Barnes

2) East Lake 1-3
The Eagles lost their first game of the season to Palm Harbor before getting back on track defeating Largo in OT. They would drop their next two games to Lake Brantley and St. Pete allowing 95 combined points in last two games.

3) Northeast 1-3
After an early win defeating Dunedin, the Vikings lost their next three games to Pinellas Park, Gibbs and Osceola.

4) Ridge Community 1-2
Hopes are still high for Ridge. After starting 0-2 versus two of the better teams in Polk County, Lake Wales and Winter Haven the Bolts jumped back on track last week defeating George Jenkins.

5) Blake 1-3
Robinson and Steinbrenner handed the Yellow Jackets their first two losses of the season. They defeated Spoto 20-14 and lost to Brandon last week. Jackets have been shutout twice.
