Newsome down, 25-19, but driving, QB Will Worth carried most of the load for the Wolves on their final drive of the game, but it would be Brian West who his crowned the hero. On 3rd down from the TBT 30 yard line, Worth hangs one up and Brian West comes down with it on the TBT 3 yard line. The Newsome stands erupt and the TBT home side lets out sounds of disbelief. Two plays later and :44 seconds remaining, Will Worth sneaked in a two yard TD run to tie the game at 25. Insuring extra point is good and Newsome takes the lead, holds on to win the game.

The Titans entered the game confident and healthy, but without RB, Lamarq Caldwell who was out with an ankle injury. With Caldwell out, Clunder Lecount and Deon Thompson carried the load. The TBT offense in a losing effort was really productive totaling 396 total yards. Newsome, the visitors, were a long ways from home, but had no intention of leaving without a win. The combo of Will Worth, Keller Powers and Clint Carnell tallied up the 368 yards of offense for The Wolf Pack.

The 1st quarter saw Newsome dominate the score board, posting 13 unanswered points only 4:45 seconds apart. Newsome got on the boards with 7:49 seconds left in the 1st with a Will Worth 15 yard scramble, then a Clint Carnell 18 yard TD pass. TBT’s game plan was simple and effective; give Lecount the rock. Lecount pounded the Newsome defense by totaling 80 yards on 12 carries in the 1st quarter. Penalties and good 3rd down defense by Newsome killed scoring drives for TBT.

13-0 entering the 2nd quarter, TBT finally gets a break and scores on a 5 yard run by Clunder Lecount. Newsome stayed aggressive on offense, with a heavy dose of Keller Powers and a few big runs by Clint Carnell. TBT keep the Wolves out of the end zone during the 2nd quarter, but Newsome was 2 for 2 on field goals making the score 19-10 at the half.

Lightning struck to start the second half. TBT defensive back, Armani Sampson put his stamp on the game, by return the opening 2nd half kickoff to the house on an 89 yard return. Bringing the Titans within 2points; 19-17. TBT defense owned the 3rd quarter with big time performance by the whole defense line. Kadeash Reaves lead all TBT tacklers with 9 tackles, 5 of those were solo tackles. After a number of scoreless possessions by both teams, TBT was the 1st to strike in the 4th quarter. TBT used a deadly combination of Lecount and Thompson, the Titans constructed a big drive, which ended with TBT QB, Aaron

Midthus scoring on a QB sneak on what seemed to be the winning score to TBT fans with 4:01 left in the game. After TBT goes ahead 25-19 on the Midthus sneak and Lecount 2 pt conversion, Newsome stalls, TBT loses a fumbles, Newsome loses a fumble, Newsome with a huge 4th down stop, which eventually lead to the go ahead drive and score by Will Worth. When the game was on the line, The Wolves leaned on the Keller Powers who had 8 carries in the second half and ended the game with 15 carries for 69 yards. The combo of Worth (11 rush 70 yards, TD; 4/16 pass 126 yards, TD) and Powers pushed the Wolves in the end zone.

Last chance to score for TBT, Midthus completes his first 3 passed on the last drive for 15, 6 and 10 yards. However, an incomplete pass to Andrew Edwards led to a 4th down, which was way out of FG range for TBT kicker. 4 wides, Midthus hurried out of the pocket, rolls right, lets it fly and pass ruled incomplete; Newsome win!
