You should go…to Lecanto: QB Travis McGee

This one nearly writes itself. McGee checks-in at 6-foot-1, 195-pounds and plays with supreme confidence in his decisions to match his outstanding skill-set which would also reflect his mind-boggling 4.7 GPA in the International Baccalaureate Program at Lecanto along with a 31 composite on the ACT. Travis was also a very solid performer at Ignite back in January.

McGee accounted for 1,566 yards through the air and posted 18 touchdowns for the Panthers who went 5-5 last season. He also rushed for 459 yards and seven touchdowns; both reflecting his authentic dual-threat capabilities. McGee displays great touch on passes with high degree of difficulty and throws on the run very well, too. Interestingly, he looks most comfortable rolling to his left even though he is a right-handed thrower. Often times it is difficult for a player at the high school level to show the kind of arm strength and accuracy to make these throws happen.

His instincts as a runner are solid along with very shifty feet in open space and extremely strong legs that are tough to simply try and arm tackle once he’s in full stride. McGee’s instincts when the play breaks down are also spot-on more often-than-not and should enjoy a very successful season this year for his Panthers squad.
