Wiregrass Ranch wins 7-on-7 Tournament in Winter Garden

WINTER GARDEN – Wiregrass Ranch was the team to beat on Saturday at the Strike Force 7-on Tourney hosted by the Foundation Academy in western Orange County. The Bulls beat out the likes of Boone, Cambridge Christian, Blake, Jones, Evans and Lake Mary.

The Bulls finished the day 7-1 with their only loss in the double-elimination tournament coming to Lake Mary in the first game of the championship round. Jordan Miner had a huge day for Wiregrass on both sides of the ball, ending up as the Defensive MVP eventually.

The Bulls worked their blossoming 2-QB system to success with Chris Faddoul taking the majority of the snaps and looking really good as did Austin Sessums during the day. Faddoul also played defense and recorded a key interception in the end zone that broke a 10-10 deadlock. That score ended up being the difference in the contest as Wiregrass won 13-10.

RB Chase Oliver, WR Taylor Bleistein along with wide receiver Brendon Kozicki made nice plays for the champions on Saturday as well.

Our special thanks to @PascoCountyFB’s Tom Ketchum for the reports from the action in Winter Garden.
