Straight from the source – QB’s from The Xecutives

LAKELAND – Better pay attention when “the man” speaks. Our QB’s coach Chip Bennett broke-down the performances of our signal-callers at The Xecutives from Sunday and shared some of his thoughts with us. From the looks of things on first sight before the film, we couldn’t have had a better set of QB’s out there doing what they do. From the reports, it appears those feelings were confirmed. Here now is Chip Bennett’s thoughts on the prospects that showed up and showed out at Southeastern University.

Garrison Bryant, Clearwater (6-3/175)–Class of 2016
“Bryant set out to prove he is under recruited and he did just that. Was on all day and really took charge in 7-on-7.”

Malik Tyson, Robinson (6-2/192)–Class of 2016
“His best BCP performance. Confident and delivered the ball on time all day.”

Michael Penix Jr, Pasco (6-2/172)–Class of 2018
“Gave Garrison a run for his money. He will be a national recruit soon. Strong arm and fearless as a 2018”

Hunter Orem, Lake Gibson (6-1.5/200)–Class of 2016
“Always fun to watch him compete. He got better at each event.”

Corey King II, Plant City (6-2/178)–Class of 2017
“Absorbed everything thrown at him. Loved his attention and coachability.”

Holden Hotchkiss, Lakeland (6-3/189)–Class of 2017
“Big upside. With some tweaks to his technique he will be a huge factor in Polk County.”

Jacob Thomas, Wesley Chapel (6-4/183)–Class of 2017
“HUGE upside. This kid wants to learn everything. He implemented all that was told to him.”

Bryce Martin, Wharton (6-1/172)–Class of 2017
“Really came on strong. Surprise of the camp for me. Any other day could have been MVP.”

Chaddrick Cann Jr, Dixie Hollins (6-2/187)–Class of 2017
“Arm that can compete with anyone’s. Has that calmness to him. When he is focused, he is dangerous.”

Tate Whatley, Strawberry Crest (6-0/188)–Class of 2018
“Man this kid is good. Very strong arm. Humble kid who will be a major threat this year. Pleasant surprise.”

Larry DallaBetta, Mitchell (6-3/200)–Class of 2017
“Nobody grinds harder than Larry. Threw well on the run. Big strong QB.”

Kyle Trina, Plant (5-9.5/168)–Class of 2017
“Spun it all day. Smart in 7-on-7. Throws a very catchable ball.”
