Small Skill Film Review: Hargrove, Mosley and Battle

We had a chance to review some film today and a few area athletes sparked our interest. Not all of our area athletes will be FBS or FCS signees. The majority of them will be D2, D3 and NAIA signees. The athletes listed below, we feel have the skills to playball some where. It may not be a FSU or Miami, but the ball could land in their favor when the time comes.

Copeland Hargrove, Gaither RB/slot in the class 2016 is quick as a finger snap. Undersized at 5-7 and just 155 pounds, but could provide a college team with a spark. Lightning quick and pretty good runner between the tackles. He could be a change of pace back, catching the ball out the backfield, jet sweeps and a misdirection ball carrier. Copeland is best when on the perimeter and can use his speed to beat defenders in a foot race.

One player who knows Hargrove well is Brandon Mosley. Mosely attends Wiregrass Ranch high school in Pasco County and will be a fixture in new head football coach, Mark Kantor’s defense. The 2016 CB stands 5-11 and 175 pounds with quick feet, reaction and transition. Wiregrass Ranch will play plenty of teams with spread offenses and a corner with the ability to match up with the opposing team’s best receiver is a luxury.

Last but not least is Alfonso Battle. A recent transfer from Wesley Chapel to Zephyrhills Christian Academy (Playing their first year of 11 man football) the 2016 CB has had a productive offseason. Camping and participating in several 7 on 7 events, the 5-9, 160 pound athlete should be well polished and confident when the 2015 season rolls around.
