Mitchell 2016 receiver JJ Lewis entered the 2014 season confident, yet unknown. Not many outside of the Mitchell Mustang camp knew the plays that he would make in key moments; Last minute catches, overtime receptions, game winning snags. Yep, he did that several times this season.

Mitchell was a 6-5 team this year, slim first round playoff loss to Gainesville. JJ Lewis was a big part of the team’s overall success; 33 catches, 451 yards, 13.7 yards per catch and 6 receiving TDs. JJ had at least 1 catch in 10 of 11 games, 5 games with 4 of more catches and 6 catches for 126 yards and 1 TD in the playoff game versus Gainesville. When teams knew JJ was the single most dangerous receiving threat, he still did damage.

2014 has now concluded. But 2015 offseason is right around the corner. This is the time of the year Lewis looks forward to improving and competing against the best players around!
