McQuay Selected To U.S. National Team Trials

Leon McQuay III

Armwood, class of 2013, Safety, Leon McQuay III has been selected by Tom Lemming to participate in the 2011 U.S. National Team Trials. Tom Lemming is an official Team USA Selection Committee member and a highly trusted advisor for our National Team program. The National Trials were designed to provide the nation’s top high school juniors with the chance to earn a spot on the 2012 U.S. Under-19 National Team. As the sport’s National Governing Body, USA Football is only organization who can field a national team.  The program will be conducted in Atlanta, Georgia over Memorial Day weekend (May 28-30), and will provide athletes with three days of competition, development, media coverage, and scouting evaluations. As the official youth development partner of the NFL and its 32 Teams, USA Football will have top NFL scouts on hand to lead player evaluations. Due to USA Football’s status as a National Governing Body, Team USA is NOT considered an All-Star team, and therefore does not count towards your All-Star Game limit. Team USA was created to represent the United States in International Football Competitions. McQuay currently hold offers from Florida, South Florida and Vanderbilt and is currently ranked as the BCP 7th best player in Hillsborough and Pinellas County entering Spring Football.
