Irma Updates on UCF, USF, Miami, FSU and UF

In an abundance of caution due to the potential impact of Hurricane Irma this weekend, UCF’s football game against the University of Memphis has been moved to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Spectrum Stadium.

The University of Connecticut is currently working with the University of South Florida and the American Athletic Conference to review contingency plans for the scheduled football game this Saturday between the two schools due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Irma in the state of Florida.

Officials from both schools and the league are in the process of determining what options are available, which include moving the game to an earlier kick-off Saturday or potentially cancelling the contest. The teams do not have a common bye date to reschedule.

A final decision is expected to be made within the next 24 hours

Florida State University and ULM have moved the kickoff time of their football game in Tallahassee this Saturday to 12:00 p.m. EST due to Hurricane Irma.

The Florida football game with Northern Colorado will now kick off at Noon on Saturday due to the impact of Hurricane Irma, Athletic Director Scott Stricklin announced Wednesday.

The game, which was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m., will be streamed exclusively on SEC Network +, Watch ESPN and the ESPN App as well as the IMG Gator Sports Radio Network.

The University of Miami Department of Athletics announced today the cancellation of all weekend athletic contests as Hurricane Irma moves towards South Florida.

The UM football game scheduled for September 9th against Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark., has been cancelled and with no mutually available dates, will not be rescheduled this season. In addition, the Miami Duals cross country meet, home soccer contests against the College of Charleston and Stetson University, and volleyball contests in Philadelphia against the University of Delaware and Temple University have also been cancelled.
