Tampa Prep vs. Arlington County Day

Tampa, FL – Tampa Prep hit the hardwood with the business look. And business is what they handled. The Terps out scored ACD 22-9 in the first period. Highly touted junior Juwan Durham started super hot with 9 of the team’s first 22. Michael Fridella added 8 points of his own. ACD struggled to slow down the Terps. Silva and Kegler did most of the scoring for ACD. In the second period PG Amari Goulbourne dropped 4 points on two tough takes to the basket. Durham did the rest. After his 9 points in the first quarter, he topped that with 10 point in the 2^nd quarter. 19 points for Durham in the first half. Tampa Prep entered halftime up 36-18.

ACD outscored Prep 16-11 in the 3^rd period limiting Durham to just 2 points in the period. Ward and Fridella added the remaining 9 points. ACD’s up tempo offense and full court press tested the Tampa Prep ball handlers and created a few turnovers leading to easy buckets for the visiting team. Mario Kegler went of in the 4^th quarter. Scoring 13 points in less than 2 minutes. Finished the game with a team high 22. ACD outscored Tampa Prep 42-29 in the second half. 6 Tampa Prep players scored in the first half. 4 players scored in the second half. Tampa Prep held on to win 65-60.
