Developing Jackson Making Waves At TBT

As many would expect Armwood, Plant and Lakeland are hubs for high school football talent and college coaches. However, quietly Tampa Bay Tech annually has a bunch of talented, recruitable athletes grazing the Titan practice field. Head football coach Jayson Roberts is coming off a 9-2 season, second district championship and 5th playoff appearance. A coach is only as good as the kids he coaches. Kids who can digest game plans, take coaching and make plays.

One of those players Roberts will rely on is rising senior Levi Jackson. As you will see on the film below, Jackson can get it done. Standing around 6 foot 1 inch and 200 pounds, Jackson catches the ball well in traffic, runs well and shows good hip fluidity. He is the younger brother on USF defensive end Vincent Jackson who played his high school football at Jesuit. Coach Roberts loves the progress Levi has made over the years, “Levi has progressed here at TBT in the past three seasons into one of the most versatile players in the area. He began as a physical bruising tailback and has developed excellent ball skills as a receiver in the past season. Being 6’1 205 lbs his speed and physicality makes him a match up nightmare.” Well that’s how we see it also. There is not much he can not do and college recruiters are taking notice.

Levi currently has one offer from Robert Morris with Samford, Appalachian State, Tennessee Martin, Bethune Cookman, and Central Michigan all very high him says head football coach Jayson Roberts. Expect more interest to come Jackson’s way in the next few months. Take a look at his 2016 campaign below.
