The uniforms a team wears doesn’t make a bit of difference when it comes to winning a state title. But, a nice uniform sure does catch the attention of those watching a team play. We ranked all 16 teams threads from this past championship weekend. Many of the teams had some really nice threads which sure did pop to the watchful eye.
1. Dr. Phillips
The Nike charcoal grey matching set was smooth. The shoulders and outside thigh had a splash of Carolina Blue with a hint of navy blue to outline the jersey numbers. Navy helmets with the school initials on the sides to offset the alternative grey.
2. St. Thomas Aquinas
Another Nike product with such detail in the shoulders. The two color uniform was highlighted by the gold thread, matching text and gold pants. Very basic, yet clean and the metallic gold helmets made the uniform “pop” under the lights.
3. American Heritage
Nike does it again with the Mizzou Tiger look. Heritage rocked the black top with mustard yellow pants and school mascot printed down the leg. What really stood out was the last name of each player was printed across the back of the helmet and was very visible.
4. Lake Gibson
The Braves come in at the number four spot with the cleanest Adidas uniform of the weekend. The San Fransico 49er look was extremely attractive with details in the manufacturing easily observed in the sleeve and neck. Gold numbers matching the helmet looked really good under the 3:00pm sun.
5. University Christian
Nike caps off the top 5 with University Christian’s all white uniforms. A mixture of Penn State and Notre Dame, the Fighting Christians all white uniforms displayed very little color beside the navy number outlined with a tad bit of gold trim. Even the helmets were white. Classic look.
