Carlton Mitchell: Trying to get back in the NFL

While at Gaither High School, Carlton Mitchell was ranked as Ranked 64th best player in Florida by Rivals.com and 55th best receiver in the nation. Mitchell was a standout receiver for USF where he was the school’s career leader in receiving yards until his record was broken by Andre Davis in 2014.

Carlton would forgo is senior season and enter the NFL Draft. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Played in five games as a rookie and eleven games his second season. He was released by the Browns and had short stops with Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Edmonton Eskimos and Ottawa Redblacks.
