Strawberry Crest Chargers, G/F, Reggie Burke has committed to the College of Coastal Georgia which is a NAIA program. Since starting his 1st varsity game as a Floridian 2 seasons ago (New York State native), Burke has become one of the more dominate players in Hillsborough County. Though he was selected as a TBBCA top 24 player, All Conference Selection and All County honorable mention in 2009, Burke has still been somewhat underrated point guard. But in 2010 he finally got the recognition he deserved.
He averaged 14.1 points and 5.8 assists for the season, while helping to lead the second year varsity Chargers to a 9-17 overall record (5-3 district). Burke led the Chargers in points per game (14.1), total points (352), free throw percentage (71%), assist (146) and rebounds (146).
Burke will continue to master his craft as he will travel throughout the spring and summer playing AAU basketball for the Bay Area Hurricanes. Burke will sign his letter of Intent Wednesday, April 6th at 6:30p at the Beef O’ Brady’s (Seffner).
