Just a freshman, this 6-foot-5, 252-pounder has already picked up an offer from the University of Kentucky. Gouraige played a big role on both sides of the trenches during a season that saw the Lancers knocking on the door of the 2A playoffs and ultimately an 8-2 record. His output on the defensive of the ball from the edge was very solid in 2014. Gouraige finished the season with 44 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 8 hurries on the quarterback and 3 caused fumbles. On film and most recently during the E7 Spring series event in Lakeland, it’s easy to see why he created such havoc in the offensive backfields of opponents. His long stride and natural speed allows him to close distances on opposing players very quickly. On offense, he plays the left tackle position and shows fantastic footwork when he sets his anchor and becomes a wall, or when he explodes out of his stance working his opponent down the field. Suffice it to say this is a prospect that will cause traffic to increase on Cambridge Christian’s Campus exponentially in the coming months and years.
