Sean Behrens, Newsome 2016 lineman may never get the headlines or a bunch on mention. He many not ever ask for it either. Grounded, respectful and team oriented young man. Don’t take his kindness for weakness. Over his high school career, Sean has played a handful of positions: Offensive tackle, Offensive guard, Offensive center, Defensive tackle, Defensive end. We like him at the offensive guard position because of his nastiness, aggression and selfless attitude.

Behrens shows good initial quicks coming off the ball. His run blocking is the strongest part of his game. Does a good job with his leverage, control and displays pretty good balance. Good strength as a junior and after this summer…Look out! Along with his physical attributes, he also boasts a 3.3 GPA, and 21 ACT. He says his favorite professional player is JJ Watt. Not surprising because Watt comes across as a down to earth, hard working, well rounded individual. Much like Sean.

Most of the time when we ask kids the college conference they prefer to play in, the answer is SEC or ACC. Sean prefers the BIG 10, Conference USA or Sun Belt. He has unofficially visited Florida International, Florida Atlantic and North Texas. Currently Northern Illinois, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Central Florida, South Florida and Rutgers are showing the most love.

Sean states “Good Community. Good Traditions. Driven Coaching Staff and academically fits my Major” are the factors that will lead him to his college decision. That’s down the road. In the mean time he is preparing to have a great spring to display his talents in front of the colleges coaches that will be attending practices in May. He needs a good offseason and is focused on the mission.
