Vanguard Committee Announces Olympian Brooke Bennett as Banquet Keynote
June 4, 2012 (Tampa, FL) — The Vanguard Award Committee is happy to announce that Brooke Bennett will be the keynote speaker for the Vanguard End of the Year Awards Banquet taking place on Thursday, June 14th from 6pm-8:00pm at The Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, located at 2117 East 7th Ave., Tampa, FL 33615. In her keynote address, the Olympic Gold Medalist will honor the achievements and outstanding performances of event attendees.

During the 2011-2012 school year, Vanguard Attorneys has recognized student athletes each month with the Vanguard Student Athlete Award. Winning students include:

• October: Robert Asphall from Leto High School
• November: Katherine Lutton from Hillsborough High School
• December: Brittany Butler from Plant City High School
• January: Christopher Duvall from Robinson High School
• February: Sara Hill from Freedom high School
• March: Amy Mildebrath Alonso High School
• April: Leon McQuay, from Armwood
To celebrate an outstanding year, the Vanguard Award Committee welcomes previous student athlete winners, coaches and members of the Vanguard Award Selection Committee to enjoy food and entertainment at the Vanguard End of the Year Awards Banquet. During the evening, the committee will announce the two winners of the Coach of the Year Awards, who will receive a $1,000 each, and the overall student athlete winner of the Vanguard MVP Award, who will receive $500.
