The 2012 BCP/BHSN Ignite Elite Showcase has maxed out. Currently, there is no available space. If spots become available due to dropouts or double registrations, we will take walk ups the day of the event and the cost will be $70 (cash).
The Ignite Elite High School Football Combine was created to get athletes in under recruited areas the exposure they deserve. The Ignite football combine will allow rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores the opportunity to compete against their peers while creating an opportunity to gain exposure. Because the demand is so high for outgoing senior who still need a look, we will allow seniors to participate. The Combine is a non padded event, with moderate contact, which will focus on selected football related activities ranging from the 40 yard dash to position specific footwork drills. Ignite Elite Football Skills Combine is open to underclassmen and outgoing seniors (presently 9th -12th grade) high school football players looking to show off their skills. Many of Florida’s top high school football players have attended the IGNITE Showcase, which has help to make this event one of the best in Florida. 2011 Ignite hosted 236 athletes and 2012 is expected to be just as impressive.
Attending the IGNITE Combine gives each athlete the opportunity to discover their explosiveness, power, strength, speed, agility, strengths and weaknesses; all while competing against other elite players from the state of Florida
If you are looking for exposure, IGNITE will get your recruiting flame burning. The relationship Big County Preps has with numerous media sites, will allow us to invite plenty of recruiting analysts and media to the event. Rivals, Scout, Prep Report, LRS, ESPN, Local Media, and others will be invited to attend. Stories, photos and video will be posted on bigcountypreps.com and advertised to media sources and college recruiters. Over 250 college programs across the country will receive testing results.
Bright House Sports Network
BHSN will produce a 60 minute program featuring the Big County Preps Combine occurring on Saturday, March 26th. The program will be hosted by Brooke Bennett, Drew Fellios and a guest analyst (ex-player, coach, etc.) and consist of highlights of the entire event with a focus on the athletes in the Tampa Bay area with coverage of the various drills, interviews with star players and analysis by those who know the game. The program will air at least 10 times leading up to the start of the 2011 football season with the premiere airing roughly 1 – 2 weeks after the event date.
Participating IGNITE athletes will:
- Be measured in the following Anthropometric Measures: height, weight, reach
- Receive a supervised dynamic warm-up from a Nike Sparq certified Sports Performance Coach.
- Be tested in following Functional Performance Tests (specific to position): the 40-yard dash (handheld and electronic time), vertical jump, short shuttle, 3 cone. Participants will be permitted to scratch testing results if they are not satisfied with them so they are not reported.
- Perform position specific footwork and skill drills
- Compete in 1 on 1 activities
- Receive exposure across multiple recruiting and media sources.
- Receive a printout of their testing results at the conclusion of the combine
